Between the Lines

DAMAGES

There might be a need to increase the compensation amount to pay for the damages incurred by the blackout. There was one on Wednesday, and people have already stated that some items have been damaged.

CHECK

Generators at hospitals and places where services are essential may need to be checked to see if they are operational and will sustain the loads if blackouts happen again.

CHANGES

The numbers are being gathered to have enough to make changes to the supreme law of the land without much opposition. Only two more are needed.

PROHIBITED

The area near the sunken New Zealand ship is unsafe, so says the government. A notice has been issued prohibiting entry close to the area where the ship is. This also affects livelihoods.

LOSSES

Things have gone quiet about the ferry. It will be interesting to know how much the government will be losing out after cancelling on the deal.

PREPARATION

Preparations are being made for the visit by the New Zealand Prime Minister. Hopefully, the press conference event would be much smoother than the one with the Australian Foreign Minister.
