Car crash damages power pole in Fasito’o Uta

A vehicle accident in Fasito’o Uta has damaged a power pole, with possible disruptions to electricity supply in the area, according to an EPC notice shared on Thursday.

The Electric Power Corporation (EPC) said the incident involved a car colliding with a power pole, which affected the electricity infrastructure.
It is unclear whether there have been any power outages or how many areas may be impacted. It is also unclear whether anyone was injured in the accident.
According to the notice, some parts of Fasito’o Uta may experience power disruptions while assessment and repair work is carried out. No timeframe for any restoration has been provided.
The corporation said incidents involving damage to power infrastructure can affect the electricity supply and may require repairs before services return to normal.
“We kindly urge all drivers to prioritize safety on the roads at all times. Please take care of our power poles, as they are not easy to install or replace. Wishing everyone a safe and blessed Easter preparations,” the notice stated.
