A car crash at the busy Four Corner intersection in Matautu caused significant traffic disruptions on Thursday evening, as commuters made their way home. 

The incident occurred amid heavy rainfall, which added to the challenge of navigating the scene.

Police and personnel from the Fire and Emergency Service Authority (F.E.S.A.) responded swiftly to the crash. 

Three vehicles were involved including a South Pacific Business Development (S.P.B.D.) vehicle, a white private Hyundai Tucson, and a taxi. 

The Tucson sustained the most damage in the collision.

Emergency services arrived promptly, with an ambulance from F.E.S.A. attending to the accident scene to assist those involved and conduct medical assessments. 

However, despite their presence, police officers at the scene were unable to provide detailed or official information regarding the cause of the crash or the condition of those involved.

The accident caused considerable delays during the evening rush hour, as traffic backed up near the intersection. Authorities continue to investigate the incident, and further updates are expected.
