There has been a shift in the target date to get the nation powered by 70 per cent renewable energy. It was 2030 and part of the United Nations set goal, in a recent speech, the government said the target is to be achieved by 2031.

People should expect less financial help from New Zealand and Australia. Fuel prices have risen there, and people are finding things difficult. Cultural and church financial commitments may need to be thought over again.

According to reports, theft of livestock, including cattle, pigs and chicken remain the biggest problem in the rural areas. While electronics are a target in the urban zones, it is a different story in the rural villages.

The announcement of a Jerusalem embassy has been made, but with bombs flying over Israel, this may take some time to be established. It will take a few brave diplomatic staff to take the posting, and this will require a higher salary for some.
