An elected leader is booked to travel at the end of the month. Nothing else has been said, leaving many to think that this is most likely a medical trip.

WHO

Who will the red party give the nod to for the recently vacated seat? In previous by-elections, there were four candidates under the red flag; would this be the case this time?

MEETINGS

The authority has been calling board meetings for a state-owned enterprise on late Fridays and sometimes even on a Sunday. This must be a hard-working board.

WAR ZONE

Neighbouring countries are making plans to evacuate their citizens from the war zone or from nearby. Nothing has been said about our citizens in those areas; maybe the government will piggyback on the Kiwis.

IMPACT

The word is to save and be prepared, as the instability in the Middle East has already raised fuel prices. It is predicted that there will be inflation, and the costs of other goods will also go up.

RURAL ROADS

Rural roads have taken a beating in the spate of rain that had been affecting the country. Some places only one side of the road can be used.
