It does look like an independent body to look into corrupt practices could be at least a decade away. Even if one is formed within the next few years, its independence looks questionable. Not much can be said about the effectiveness of the anti-corruption policy.

FIGHTS

What is it with school children getting involved in massive fights? This time, a school in Savaii is in the limelight. Many students are joining in as two girls fight it out. All of this is caught on camera. Are students supposed to take phones to school?

PHONES

Many countries have made rules about not allowing cellphones into schools. They are a distraction. Local schools need such policies, and if they exist, there is a need for stricter policing.

E-BIBLES

While the Bible is now available as electronic copies and can be accessed on mobile devices, some have been spotted using this excuse to be on social media while in church. Do not worry that someone catches you; the Almighty is always watching.

NUMBERS

The patrols around the town and seawall area seem to have decreased. There have been a few fights along the seawalls. Do the boys in blue need more numbers?
