Between the Lines

OLD IS GOLD

It was back to the old ways of physically checking bags and tickets at the regional airport as the terminal was without power most of Tuesday. It seems there is no generator for the $25 million facility.

CONTRADICTION

Contradictory move by a politician who is often on the world stage advocating for climate change and planting more trees. At least it was assured that most MPs continue to enjoy their golf.

PLANTING TREES

The power company is resorting to hanging power lines and cutting trees to deal with the underground fault in Faleata. Hopefully, the company will replant trees elsewhere to compensate for the trees.

ACCIDENTS

More footage is being seen of people involved in accidents. One particular one was of a Toyota Hiace losing control and flipping over and another of a head-on collision.

PRAYING

Churches should not be cancelling their services because of power outages, prayers do not need electricity. Maybe everyone should pray at home.

MORE POWER

The airport has more power than the power company. Not so much in terms of electricity but in doing what they want and whenever they want.
