Many motorists were left wondering on Saturday evening what caused the massive traffic. It was just the Vaimoso rugby team and its supporters celebrating their win.

EID CELEBRATION

Some heads were turning on Sunday as some people were seen clad in the traditional attire of their homelands. The Muslims in Samoa dressed up to celebrate the Eid festival, ending their 40-day fast.

SWITCH OFF

If government offices and state-owned buildings are not using generators, they should consider switching off most lights, air-conditioning units and computers at night.

DIESEL

Diesel will become a sought-after fuel commodity with a large number of people investing in generators. Fuel suppliers will be happy that despite EPC being down, their sales are up.

DRUNKARD

A drunk man was making a nuisance of himself at the bus stand in Savalalo. This was when schoolchildren came to catch their buses. Police presence was absent.

CONMAN

One individual with good mannerisms has been asking people for $10 for bus fare claiming he knocked off work and missed the company transport. The problem was he asked the same person twice in two weeks and each time he gave a different place of work.
