The FedPac Group has come to the aid of Lakapi Samoa with an injection of $60,000 towards the Manu Samoa 7s preparation and participation in the Oceania Sevens Championship in the Solomon Islands.

Group spokesperson Namulauulu Papalii Leota Sami Leota, clarified on Tuesday that $50,000 will be cashed out and $10,000 is an in-kind donation.

"We are honoured to support Lakapi Samoa and their outstanding teams. The Oceania 7s presents an important opportunity for Manu Samoa 7s and Manusina 7s to showcase their talent and dedication, and we are thrilled to contribute to their journey," he said.

"We wish both teams every success as they set their sights on qualifying for the World Rugby Challenger Series 2025.”

The General Manager for Lakapi Samoa Seumanu Douglas Ngau Chun expressed his gratitude towards Namulau'ulu and Federal Pacific Group for their donation which will help with the team's needs.

"The importance of the Oceania is for our team to qualify for the Challenger's Series. This is why we are grateful for this donation as it will assist us with our preparations," he said.

"If we fail from this Oceania then there will be no more tournaments for us this year. That is why we are putting in all our efforts to seek financial support for our team. And we thank Pacific Federal for assisting us with our cause. It is a huge help for us."

Coach Matamua will announce his team for the upcoming Oceania 7s this week. The team is currently camping at the High-Performance Unit, Tuanaimato and in the final week of training.
