Left out vendors march to PM's office
More than 60 vendors went to the Prime Minister’s office on Friday morning to voice concerns about being left out of the vendor list set to move into the new Savalalo Market.
A vendor member, Fou Silver, told Samoa Observer that, " The group had previously questioned the Ministry of Lands on why their names were missing, despite having no outstanding debts. The vendors said they were told the decision came from the Minister".
The group went directly to the Prime Minister's office to ensure their concerns were heard. Officials have scheduled a meeting at 1 pm today to discuss the matter, and the outcome is expected to provide clarity for the affected vendors.
The vendors gathered peacefully, seeking answers and assurances about their participation in the new market project.
