The Electric Power Corporation has cancelled all weekly electricity rationing programs for Upolu and confirmed that the five temporary generators were fully operational.

“With all five temporary generators now fully operational at Fuluasou, and with continued support from Fiaga, Tanugamanono, hydro plants (Lalomauga, Taʻelefaga, Tafitoala, Alaoa, Samasoni, Fale o le Fee), and solar energy sources, we now have enough generation capacity to supply power across the entire island,” stated in their announcement on Sunday.

According to an EPC statement, the affected feeders, Palisi, Industrial, Beach Road, Lefaga, South Coast, Alaoa, East Coast, and West Coast, will no longer experience rationing.

However EPC will continue to monitor closely, and will keep Samoa updated on any unexpected maintenance work that may incur.
