“We consider other things that need to be bought as well as the amount of money required to pay for every asset used," he said.

“Because not all of the church's assets were purchased by the members, I wanted to express my gratitude to all of the people from our community who now live abroad and helped put everything together so that the entire church could be given a new look.

“As you can see, everything in this church is brand-new, and we are grateful to the church children abroad for everything they did to make it appear even more lovely and modern.”

Church treasurer Fainu'ulelei Saienisi said the cost of the church's interior was $175,186.55.

“The communion table cost $16,000 and was given by MP Lenata’i Victor Fa’afoi Tamapua, the pulpit, which cost $14,000, was a gift from Asi Tuiataga James Faafili Blakelock, his wife Elena, and their family for the church," he said.

"Tofaeono Iupati gifted the church with lights and Palepua, who is already in heaven, but his children presented other lights that were used inside of the church and the bell house that was also created and funded by pastor Semikueva."

Church Minister Semikueva Fa'atoaafe was happy that Moata'a accomplished such a massive project. He expressed gratitude to the former church pastors who helped create this project.

Semikueva has been serving Moata'a Church for nine years and was glad to see how much the church had grown. He also thanked all students and Moata'a church members abroad for their support and sacrifice.

"As you look back and remember where you were born, may God continue to shower you with all of the blessings, I pray for all of you Moata'a church members out there," he said.

"Although everything is expensive these days, I am grateful to our Heavenly Father for the power that sustains our people and renews the church.”

There will be special celebration on 14 December to commemorate the church's 50th anniversary.
