Aussie company to handle CHOGM flights
An Australian aviation support business called the 'Aero Adapt' will facilitate the arrival and departure of aircraft for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (C.H.O.G.M.) in October this year.
This was confirmed by the Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O.) of Samoa Airways, Fauo'o Fatu Tielu in an interview when queried about their preparations about ground handling for C.H.O.G.M.
He explained that they would liaise with this company in handling the incoming flights specifically for the C.H.O.G.M as well as their departures.
"We're waiting for a report on a company called the Aero Adapt that will facilitate the arrival of the aircraft and the departure as well as accommodation," he said.
"We'll be working together with them so we will be contacting them about the flights for C.H.O.G.M and so forth."
Currently, Samoa Airways has close to 170 employees with the majority of them working on the ground handling team as well as security, and cleaners who will be looking after the cabins' neatness, and the screening team.
This is a massive increase or boost from the staff that were left since the Covid-19 pandemic impact which resulted in the airline having to let go of some of its employees due to financial constraints.
Aero Adapt as part of its' trip support can coordinate end-to-end trip support solutions through to providing selected critical elements such as over-flight permits, handling, or crew support in conjunction with the client’s preparation to ensure your operational success in Australia or across the Asia Pacific region.
"Our team adopted a growth mindset during the downtime provided by COVID 19. We reflected on what was most important to us and more importantly our customers," Aero Adapt states on their vision.
"We developed a new Mission, Vision and values that reflect our desire to become a trusted partner to our customers and not just to provide a service."
