Samoa Worship Center Christian Churches Worldwide (WCCCW) has shown its full support in welcoming the new leader of their church and believes he can move the church forward.

The church has come a long way, from a small gathering to its brand new multi-million tala headquarters at Sogi, and Apostle To’outa Aloali’i has taken on the mantle from the late Apostle and church founder Viliamu Mafoe.

The General Secretary of WCCCW, Pastor Faletaua Mauala said the church's board of senior pastors are excited for their new leader and they are looking forward to what the lord has in store for the congregation and the worldwide ministry.

“One thing we learnt from Pastor Viliamu is that whoever God ordains to lead the church, is who we commit ourselves to support in doing the work of God,” he said. “I know that when Apostle To’outa was appointed, God had already situated capable people to continue the leadership of the church and we believe that God has great plans in store for the new apostle and for the church.”

According to the General Secretary, the title of Apostle is given to the leader of the church and is a position they will hold for life. Recalling his time with the late Apostle Viliamu in the ministry, he talked about the values he had as a man of God.

“He was the visionary behind this new building and we all miss our dear founder. He was a very humble, yet bold man of God. He wasn’t afraid to share God’s message even with the Leaders of Samoa,” said Pastor Mauala. “He put God first in everything and loved to pray; in fact when we wanted to build his house in the beginning he refused and said that he would ask God first, we ended up building the prayer house in Vailima first before we could build the Pastor’s house.

“One of the phrases I remember him by was every time he had to make a decision he would say ‘I will go to the mountain and ask God’ and that was how it was. He would never make a decision without consulting God.”

He added that the late Apostle Viliamu never got to preach in the new church but believes this is all part of God’s bigger plan.

The WCCCW 2023 Conference which finishes at the end of the week is the bi-annual and holy ghost conference combined to celebrate the 26th birthday of the ministry.
