Wonder what could be the delay in getting some of the projects for which tenders have been awarded, getting started? There were quite a few tenders awarded mid-last year for which work has not started.

PROFESSIONALISM

There is a serious need for police officers to undergo training in professionalism. The video of a police officer asking a visitor out on a date at a police stop is worrying behaviour. This has happened to local women, where the cops are asking for phone numbers instead of a driver’s license.

KILIKITI

The rural teams are seriously training for kilikiti. Every weekend, there is a game on in the villages. While the interest is there, the venue for the game is yet to be confirmed.

BUSES

Whatever has happened to the authority slowly phasing out the wooden buses, which have been deemed unsafe? One wooden bus veered off the road on Tuesday. Luckily, no one was injured. The court has dubbed the iconic vehicles as death on wheels.

SIGN

Great to see some of the government advertisements having a sign language element displayed; however, more needs to be done for real inclusivity.

STUDY

A study has shown that children introduced to electronic devices as infant have a higher chance of committing suicide and more probe to suffer from mental health issues. Are you one of those parents who believes that the phone is the best babysitter?
