Between the Lines

SICK

A senior civil servant was hospitalised soon after his new appointment. The medical board will not be bothered about this, as the appointment is new and it follows the path set by those in command.

ARRIVAL

The arrival did not happen on Tuesday, as all eyes were on the arrival terminal. It could be Wednesday, Thursday or even Friday. Next week could even extend to Saturday.

FERRY

What is happening to the $13 million ferry? Every month it stays with the manufacturers, it costs more and right about now, it is estimated to be over $20 million. Meanwhile, no word if the wager will be undertaken to prove if the ferry will hit an iceberg and split in half like the Titanic.

FOOD

People are beginning to find their food basket getting smaller. There is also a need to keep unscrupulous retailers in check. Some will increase prices just for an extra cent.

FUEL

Two more days until the new fuel prices come into effect, and as predicted, it would be going up. There is also no need to stockpile, as there is plenty to go around. This will also be a time to reduce the unnecessary runs.

LOOKING WELL

The former top legal eagle looks well and stress-free. She was spotted at the world event taking place around the sports city area. She is volunteering with Team Samoa and, when required, lends her voice to cheer on the athletes. She could be bound for work abroad.
