VIBRATIONS

The courtrooms at the courthouse are shaking and vibrating. These are not tremors from an earthquake but from the large machinery currently making the road outside the courthouse. Sometimes, the noise from the shaking drowns the voices inside the courtroom. Some are also concerned that these tremors could deteriorate the already compromised structure.

NOT OVER

A dispute between a district on the Big Island and the authorities could be far from over. There is a looming court case being talked about and some unhappy chiefs are planning to close down the little government office that is controlling the money.

SPEED

Speeding remains one of the biggest causes of road accidents. No serious injuries were reported in a car accident in Fagalii along the main road. Emergency responders took a couple of people to the hospital.

POWER SHEDDING

Power outages were noted all throughout the week. In some areas, it disrupted businesses. Just a heads up. Power shedding could be a solution for the power company when the fuel price increase hits home.

Speed bumps are appearing for the planned fautasi races for Independence Day. The word from across the ocean is that not all five of the fautasi crew, who were supposed to come, are coming. No reasons have been given, but fingers point at finances and exchange rate. Didn’t the government say they would cover the costs?
