Between the Lines
TACKLED
The tackle of the tournament in the school sevens competition goes to the boy in blue, who sprinted a good 30 metres to protect a player from a fan who had run onto the field to celebrate with a winning player. Despite his size, the officer showed good speed and form. Kudos to the tackled fan as well. He got up straight away and continued the celebration.
BLACK
Someone forgot to advise our national pageant queen that the event she was attending was a ‘black Thursday’ event where people wear black to show solidarity against violence against women. The poor lass stuck out in her white dress. She is still doing good work.
HEATED
A meeting at the health HQ became heated. Reportedly, some people are refusing to return government property they should not have in the first place. Hopefully, the air conditioning system in this office was unlike some wards in the hospital; if not, they would have had to get fans to keep things cool.
SKELETON
Have the DNA tests returned from abroad that would determine the identity of the skeleton found in Aleisa? Many still believe that it is the infamous prison escapee who is yet to be apprehended.
DRAGON FRUIT
Hoping to find dragon fruits at a lower price, a citizen ventured to Aleisa looking for a bargain. He found that dragon fruits were being sold for $25 and $50 for the larger ones. It was time to return to the supermarket where the fruit is being sold for $17 a kilogram, and one fruit averages between $7 to $8.
