Between the Lines

QUEEN VISITS

The Queen came to visit Samoa on Saturday. It was not a royal visit but a cruise liner named Queen Elizabeth II. Perhaps it was a prelude to the real state visit by the British monarch later this month.

UPDATES

Most people think that the township and the businesses will be closed during the week of the CHOGM. The government needs to inform the public of what is happening. A misinformed public is not good.

COMPENSATE

A business owner along the CHOGM Peninsula is willing to close his business for a week provided the government can provide him with financial compensation and wages for his employees.

CHARGE THEM

Has the finance ministry forgotten about the missing money from a district council in Savaii? That investigation needs to be handed to the police and people need to be charged.

DOGS

Please keep those dogs tied or inside the fence. We don’t need a foreign delegate’s memory about Samoa to be a dog bite.

IN CAMP

The boys in blues civilian helpers will be camping for three weeks following White Sunday. Let us hope they are trained to understand the law.
