Between the Lines

CLEAN UP

Can someone please clean the Savalalo Bus terminal? That is the only location that has not been given the beauty treatment in the CHOGM Peninsula. Water-blasting the seawall would be good too.

NON-SWIMMERS

It is amazing to find more than a handful of people who live in villages just across the road from the ocean but do not know how to swim. This could explain the high drowning rate.

LOSING TEACHERS

The education ministry could find itself losing more teachers. Some were spotted taking oath for a civil service job which for now is temporary but could become permanent.

KEEP CHECKING

There are some disturbing videos of young local girls posing or dancing in a very raunchy manner. They look too young to be doing this. Parents always be aware of your teenagers' social media activity.

FIRES

Despite the warning from the fire department, people are still lighting fires. Some have been seen lighting big ones to clear land. This could have serious implications.

ROYAL BUS

The arrival of the British monarch is so anticipated that a bus company has painted the name King Charles on the back of it. Please do not mistake the bus for the royal transport.
