Between the Lines
WHITE DYNA
People in a white Toyota Dyna have been cutting a beef carcass on the ramp next to the Sails Restaurant. Swimmers and people cleaning the beach were greeted with horrific sights and foul stench.
LIVE ON TV
Good to see the Miss Falealili pageant shown live on the Government TV channel. Is this going to be the norm for all districts or this was a special one because the Minister for MCIT is from there?
OPENING ACT
It would be wonderful if Miss Samoa performed the fire dance at the Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture opening. Hopefully, she is given the chance to mermerise the world.
GARBAGE TRUCK
The garbage truck with an open tray is still doing rounds of the town. The issue is not the open nature of the tray but the young men who stand or sit on the garbage.
DRUNKS
People taking their evening walks along the seawall and Friendship Park had to bear with drunks using the scenic venue as a drinking spot. Can the police do something about this?
CLOSED
The Apia Port will be closed for more than a week in October so a cruise liner can berth. This is for CHOGM, hopefully all ships bound for Samoa that time have been warned.
