TREADING CAREFULLY

The no show by the government at the march on Wednesday morning shows the fear of disappointing diplomatic partners. If they are neutral then cabinet ministers should stop flying flags of the side they support.

PRIZES

Some parents were caught out at prize giving this week when one told their child they had followed their path but a close relative was quick to point out that they had never received any prize in school.

FULL ATTENDANCE

It is very rare for government offices to have a full attendance on working days. But this is about to change as full attendance is expected at the end of year parties.

DIGITAL

Banks in Samoa need to start developing apps which bridge the digital divide and make the society cashless. The world is moving this way and Samoa is far behind.

LOITERING

There are large numbers of primary school aged children who are loitering the streets of Apia at night and most seem to be outside restaurants and takeaways asking for food. Intervention is needed.

NEW YEAR

With New Year’s just around the corner, a good resolution from the Government could be reverting back to having media briefings after every Cabinet meeting.
