A visit to the Samoa Observer's offices on Tuesday by Cece’s House of Fashion delivered a $2,000 donation to the ‘Save The Child Fund’ and an original song lamenting those lost to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The owner and staff of the store stopped by the Samoa Observer’s Vaitele offices on Tuesday morning.

The purpose of Cece’s visit was to present Samoa Observer Publisher Muliaga Jean Malifa with the donation.

Tupuola Margean Feesago, co-founder of Cece’s Bingo Supplies and House of Fashion, accompanied members of her staff to the Samoa Observer office.

Before visiting the newspaper's head office, the Cece’s group visited the Mapuifagalele Home for the Elderly in Vailele to also deliver a donation, Tupuola said.

Accompanied by a guitar, staff members sang a heartwarming song, in Samoan, about the many challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic including the millions of deaths the virus has claimed globally, and its economic devastation and loss of jobs.

“This is a special song about the COVID-19 pandemic that is infecting people all around the entire world,” a spokesperson for Cece’s said.

“It is a special song written by Tupuola.”

The lyrics of the song express gratitude to God for protecting Samoa and keeping the country safe from the pandemic.

Editor (Development) Alexander Rheeney thanked Tupuola and her staff on behalf of the Samoa Observer Editor-In-Chief Gatoaitele Savea Sano Malifa and Publisher Muliaga Jean Malifa for the presentation.

“We are very touched by the gesture. Thank you so much for giving to the children of Samoa. The contributions that you give are able to change lives and enable kids to go to New Zealand for operations with this medical assistance, so we totally appreciate it,” Mr Rheeney said.

“On behalf of Gatoaitele and Muliaga, thank you so much for taking time to come and give to the fund. Cece’s House of Fashion, Tupuola, thank you so much. God bless your heart.”

Tupuola and her late husband Augustine Fuiavailiili Feesago have donated regularly to the Save The Child Fund.

The charitable fund helps needy families send their children overseas for medical treatment. Spearheaded by the Samoa Observer Newspaper Group, it began with generous donations from members of the community.
