Prosecutor for the Ministry of Police, Inspector Solomona Natia, will appear in the District Court next week.

He has been charged with careless driving and failing to comply with lawful requirement under the road traffic regulation.  

Natia, 38, of Malie and Asau is alleged to be involved in a traffic incident in Pesega on the day of his promotion to inspector. Consequently, he has been suspended from his position at the Ministry of Police and is scheduled to appear in the district court next Tuesday.

According to the prosecution charge information sheet, Natia was alleged to be the driver of a Mazda MPV Mini Van with the registered plate number 17980 and drove on Vaitele road without due care and attention.
