Unalei-linked man charged with providing false information, denies charge

The lawyer for the man who was charged with providing false information to the police says his client denies the charge and they intend to defend it in court.
James Tuisavailuu Atua, who is connected to Unalei Rentals, was stopped at the Faleolo International Airport on Thursday. He was kept at the Police Headquarters overnight and then charged. Police have said that investigators are looking into a possible link to the shooting in Vietnam last week.
His lawyer, Meleisea Mathew Lemisio, told the Samoa Observer that they will not make further comments on the matter.
