Arieta earns Master’s Degree in Tropical Plant Pathology

Arieta Fa'aulu has graduated with a Master of Science in Tropical Plant Pathology from the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa, adding another major academic achievement to her educational journey.

Fa’aulu, who hails from Faleula, Sili, Safotu and Moata’a, is an alumna of Avele College and has been recognised by family and supporters as someone who is driven, determined and hardworking.

She began her tertiary studies at the National University of Samoa, where she completed her Foundation Certificate before continuing her studies at the University of the South Pacific. In 2021, she graduated with a Bachelor of Agriculture.

Fa’aulu later pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, where she recently completed her Master of Science in Tropical Plant Pathology.

Throughout her academic journey, she consistently demonstrated resilience and commitment to her studies, successfully progressing from foundation-level studies in Samoa to advanced scientific research overseas.

Her achievement is being celebrated as an inspiration for young Samoans aspiring to pursue higher education opportunities abroad and highlights what can be accomplished through dedication and perseverance.
