The leader of the Opposition, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, was told by the District Court on Tuesday not to make any more comments on social media against the Minister of Education, Aiono Alec Ekeroma and the Prime Minister Laaulialemalietoa Leuatea Schmidt.

Tuilaepa appeared in court on Tuesday to answer to allegations of defamation filed by Aiono and Prime Minister Laaulialemalietoa Leuatea Schmidt.

The matter was adjourned for another four weeks as the prosecution requested an adjournment so that a prosecutor from overseas could review and investigate the charges against Tuilaepa.

The court was also informed that there could be a third complainant in this case.

Aiono has alleged that Tuilaepa wrongfully accused him of using equipment from the national hospital for his private clinic.

The matter will be called again before the District Court in the first week of May.

Tuilaepa hasn't entered a plea to the charges against him.
