Two police officers who posted inappropriate videos on the social media platform TikTok would face disciplinary action for violating the social media policy of the Samoa Police.

Acting Police Commissioner, Papalii Monalisa Keti said it was clear that policies were violated and the two female officers involved will be questioned.

"There is an internal policy prohibiting officers from posting on their social media pages in police uniform. The officers will be subject to disciplinary process with our Professional Standards Unit," she responded.

It is believed that the two officers were called for a meeting with the senior administration and have been issued a warning.

Police officers and other government workers are prohibited from posting videos in uniform on personal pages. Social media use also should not disrupt workflow, according to the government's social media policies.

Recently, two senior prosecutors were also suspended for a video. In their video, the lawyers mimicked certain phrases that included foul language and its content appeared to have been directed towards a member of the bench.
