The Opposition leader, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi believes that the Fa'atuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (FAST) leadership is no longer stable and a snap election is the answer to the political turmoil.

Tuilaepa was speaking at the Human Rights Protection Party's meeting with members and supporters at their Petesa Headquarters last Thursday.

The former Prime Minister in his address raised concerns about the leadership of the caretaker government saying it was divided.

"Our government's leadership is broken by strong currents of the sea while we, the country is observing and looking into ways to try and come up with a political solution to the problem," Tuilaepa said.

In Samoan he said, " Ua opeopea nei le tatou sa ua featofa’i solo nei e au malolosi ma o lo’o matou matau ma le toto’a pea aga o le matagi ma le laveai e tatau ona fai e tusa ai ma auala manino masani o lo’o fa’ata’oto mai e mea nei o tapasa malolosi e fofo ai folauga fa’alemalo i so’o se taismi e afatia ai le tatou faigamalaga."

Tuilaepa is worried that the division in the FAST political party will impact the country if there is no quick solution to the uncertainties currently faced by the government.

He believes that the whole reason behind this instability is that the government is led by a group of tyrants.

"This group of tyrants believe that the prime minister should have used her power to avoid the charges made by police," Tuilaepa said.

"This type of leadership is an example of arbitrary ruling that the country is now witnessing," Tuilaepa added.

Tuilaepa has advised their political party to stay calm and pray for unity as the law speaks for itself in the matter the Fa'atuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (FAST) is now facing.

Hundreds of supporters turned up to meet with the leader of the HRPP party and members of parliament to discuss plans for the upcoming elections next year.
