The Ministry of Customs and Revenue has confirmed the seizure of approximately 10 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine this evening (Wednesday).

The discovery was made following a series of targeted profiling operations, with the substance confirmed through NIK testing and further analysis set to follow.

Customs officials, in a statement released to the Samoa Observer, revealed that the drugs were detected using the Ministry's container X-ray scanner, alongside support from the joint Customs and Police K9 Unit.

Authorities are currently conducting further investigations at a local shop in Pesega, with police on-site.
