Student eagerly awaits exam results

Like many students who finished high school or college Alofaina Sardis Iosefa is eagerly awaiting the results of the national exams to take the next step in her academic career.

She was a student at the St Pauls VI College at Leulumoega The 18-year-old was the school's topper last year.

Principal Mulipola Mose Tuafoe said he had no doubt the young student would prevail in whatever course she undertook.

 “A well-behaved young lady who enjoys learning and classroom activities as well as extracurricular activities. She also does her job as the head girl chosen for the school and also according to the laws given by the school. 

"Alofaina is a sports girl and loves playing netball,” he said.

Alofaina is excited at the prospect of studying commerce at the University of the South Pacific, where she will be starting this year, to further her future aspirations.

She is prepared to do whatever it takes to reach her objective and be able to work toward repaying her parents.

"I was thrilled when the dux last year. I also cried, they were happy tears for my parents since their year-long efforts had finally paid off," she said.

"I am preparing to continue my education at the University of South Pacific to have a decent profession in the future and be able to support my parents."

She hopes to work in the bank. She wished to have her parents around for a long time so she could repay them as she entered a new chapter in her academic career. 

"In the end, every result and difficulty encountered was worthwhile, and I am proud of myself for having faith in my ability to succeed," Alofaina said,

She prays that God will continue to bless her and provide her with opportunities to pursue her academic goals in the future, and she hopes that she will receive even more benefits in the future.

"I'm currently awaiting the SSLC results so I can finally see what I've accomplished during my college years. My journey has just begun, and I am looking forward to what God has in store for me and my future."

The Ministry of Education has not announced the exact dates when the national examination results will be out. It is expected that the results will be out by the end of this month.

The results will also allow many to apply for scholarships and choose the intended field of study they endure to pursue.
