Family alerts neighbours of break-ins

A family at Vaiusu has warned residents of Vailoa, Vaiusu and Vaigaga of thieves in the area after their house at Vaiusu was broken into on Friday. 

Most of the items that were taken were electronics such as cell phones,

"Talofa everyone. Please look out for thieves around Vailoa, Vaiusu and Vaigaga areas. My family's home at Vaiusu got robbed this morning (Friday) around 3 am taking the following: my daughter's iPad, iPhone XS, iPhone 11, iPhone 13, Samsung A12, and two Samsung A02," stated in a post on social media by Valasi Ah Kuoi-Areta. 

She also acknowledged the assistance of the Ministry of Police. She is asking whoever took their belongings to return them and they will compensate them. 

Her daughter's iPad has her daughter's full name and her aunty's name engraved on the back, her name is Bronwyn Matelina Areta. 

Queries were sent by this newspaper to the Police Commissioner, Auapaau Logoitino Filipo but there was no response on the latest update on the robbery. 

There was also another incident on Christmas day where $800 and a car were stolen but the car has been found by Police at Vaiusu, however, the suspect is yet to be identified.
