Lizma is Tesese topper
For the dux of Tesese Institute, education does not end here. Lizma Ramona Ilalio of Lalovaea, Samatau and Lotofaga now plans to further her academic qualifications.
A total of 67 students from Tesese Institute celebrated their graduation on Thursday at the school.
The 24-year-old topped her class and believes that the sky is the limit. She said she would equip herself with more knowledge and use that to advance her career.
“Being this year's school dux is a major accomplishment for me, and I am always grateful to God for the knowledge and understanding that have helped shape who I am today” she said.
“Every individual, every student faces numerous obstacles in their goal of better success. This year, I have encountered several difficulties in my academic journey involving family, friends, schoolwork, and occasionally place of employment.
“My achievements serve as a source of inspiration for me, and all of the money I receive can benefit my family, the community, and God, who gave me the strength and life to pursue my goals.
She lives by the "sky is the limit." She encourages others never to give up, never let anything or any obstacles get in the way of their goals, and always to be themselves.
She also encourages students always to be strong.
"Although it may be difficult at first, you will understand the joy of success once you've done it. Aim for excellence and keep studying so that you might eventually serve our nation."
Tesete Institute is a post school educational and training provider for office administration and computing studies. The school is an avenue for those students who fail to make to the university for numerous reasons, a chance to upskill themselves.
Three years ago, the oldest student, a 63-year-old topped the class showing that anyone can join the institute.
