Queen of Tonga in Samoa

Crown Queen Nanasipau'u Tuku'aho of Tonga is in Samoa leading a delegation from the Kingdom of Tonga for the South Pacific Area Seminar. 

Her visit marks a significant event as she participates in the seminar and engages with the Tongan community residing in Samoa.

Upon her arrival, Queen Nanasipau'u was warmly welcomed by prominent figures, including the President of the Samoa Methodist Church Women’s Fellowship, the Minister of Public Enterprise, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. 


This reception underscores the importance of her visit and the strong ties between Tonga and Samoa.

The South Pacific Area Seminar, officially opened on Wednesday evening, is hosted by the Methodist Church of Samoa. 

The conference, held from September 4 to 8 at the Tanoa Hotel in Apia, brings together a diverse array of delegates, with hundreds of women from across the region and the world participating. 

The opening ceremony was held at the Methodist Church in Faleula, setting the stage for a week of discussions, cultural exchange, and collaboration.


Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mata'afa and other Cabinet Ministers also attended the opening ceremony. 

During her stay, Queen Nanasipau'u will also meet with the Tongan community in Samoa, further strengthening the bond between the two nations. 

Her visit highlights the ongoing commitment to nurturing relationships within the Pacific community and addressing shared challenges through collaborative efforts.


The South Pacific Area Seminar is a notable event in the regional calendar, bringing together influential female leaders and community members to advance discussions on key issues celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the South Pacific, and strengthening their faith and spreading the gospel.
