Of the 22 contestants who applied to be in the Miss Samoa pageant this year, 15 were chosen to compete.

The premier night for the pageant is set to begin on 4 September 2024 and the crowning night will be on 7 September 2024. 

For over 30 years, the Miss Samoa pageant has been a platform of empowerment and a symbol of cultural heritage for Samoa. 

As the new pageant begins, the reign of the current Miss Samoa, Moemoana Safa'atoa Schwenke will soon come to an end. 

“My Samoan culture has been the compass and our people as the guidance,” Moemoana said. “It has been a privilege and a calling that will forever shape my life and I am truly humbled, but it's time to pass the torch.”
