Nicolina June Ah Kuoi is now representing Samoa at the upcoming Miss Global pageant in January 2025.

This announcement was made by Vodafone Samoa, celebrating Nicolina's dedication and potential to shine on the international stage.

Her journey to this position began as the first runner-up in the Miss Global Samoa 2024 competition, a position she now proudly holds following the resignation of Rosevellaryn Odile Everleilani, the initial winner. She stepped down due to personal reasons.

Vodafone Samoa expressed gratitude to Rosevellaryn for her brief but impactful tenure as Miss Global Samoa, highlighting her commitment and service to the pageant.

Nicolina has diverse cultural roots spanning several villages in Samoa and American Samoa. She brings not only a deep connection to her heritage but also a passion for advocacy and community upliftment.

Currently employed at Apia Insurance Company in Samoa, Nicolina has previously demonstrated her leadership in local pageants and now preparing to elevate her platform globally.

Nicolina will undergo intensive training in the Philippines from September 15th to 30th, ahead of the global competition with the dates yet to be confirmed by the Miss Global Organisation.

In an interview with Samoa Observer, Nicolina expressed gratitude and humility in representing her country on such a prestigious platform.

"I am deeply honoured and humbled to have been given this incredible opportunity to represent Samoa at the upcoming Miss Global pageant," she said.

"This journey is not just a personal achievement but a testament to the unwavering love and grace of our Heavenly Father as well as the support and encouragement I have received from my family, friends, and all my supporters."

She also acknowledged Rosevellaryn's bravery in making the tough decision to step down.

"Her decision has paved the way for me to embark on this remarkable journey to represent Samoa on the global stage. I am deeply honored to carry this responsibility and will strive with all my heart to bring pride to our nation," she said.

"In closing, I am filled with gratitude and determination as I embark on this journey representing Samoa at the Miss Global pageant. With the support of my loved ones and the prayers of our nation, I am confident that together, we can achieve great things. Thank you, Samoa, and Vodafone Samoa, for this incredible opportunity. Let's make our voices heard on the global stage!

Nicolina's ambitions extend beyond the runway; she aims to use her platform to advocate and promote Samoa's cultural values internationally.

Her dedication to these causes reflects her vision for global unity and understanding, bolstered by the values of respect, honour, and hospitality deeply ingrained in Samoan culture.

She will be crowned at a later date at the Vodafone Samoa Headquarters.

The 24-year-old contested in the Miss Samoa Pageant in 2023 where she was the first runner-up.

She hails from the villages of Sapapali, Safotu, Gautavai, Pata Falelatai, Leulumoega, and Taliamatau.

She is the eldest of seven children and is a student at the University of Queensland, currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in political science and international relations.
