In a spectacular event held on Monday, Rosevellaryn Odile Brown Fane was crowned Miss Global Samoa 2024. The pageant, organised by Vodafone Samoa, marked the country's enthusiastic participation in the prestigious Miss Global competition.

Vodafone Samoa, the telecommunication giant, played a pivotal role in facilitating the event and initiating Samoa's involvement in the global pageant. This initiative follows last year's success when Haylanni Pearl Kuruppu, former Miss Samoa, was crowned Vice Miss Global 2023 after being sponsored by Vodafone Samoa.

This year's competition saw six talented contestants advance to the final stage, meticulously selected from a large pool of applicants eager to represent Samoa on the global stage. The finalists were judged by a panel of four distinguished judges, including Shane Tormes, a former Miss Global titleholder.

Rosevellaryn Odile Brown Fane, no stranger to pageantry, previously competed in the Miss Samoa Pageant in 2022. Sponsored by Princess Mariana Publishing, the 25-year-old entrepreneur hails from the villages of Vaoala, Lotofaga, and Lalovaea. Although she was born in Samoa, her family resides in Melbourne, Australia.

As the newly crowned Miss Global Samoa, Ms. Fane will represent her country at the international Miss Global pageant later this year. 

Alongside the prestigious title, she received a suite of impressive prizes, including $3,000 tala in cash, an iPhone 15 Pro Max, $1,000 Vodafone top-up, dresses for the global pageant, return air tickets, travel insurance, extra luggage allowance, $1,000 USD for international travel, accommodation for the global pageant, a professional photoshoot and videography session, and two weeks of intensive training in the Philippines.

The crowning of Rosevellaryn Odile Brown Fane as Miss Global Samoa 2024 not only celebrates her individual achievements but also highlights Samoa's growing presence and influence in international beauty pageants.
