Family and friends of a Samoan man who tragically passed away after he was allegedly hit by a truck in Moorebank, Australia on Tuesday morning are mourning his death.

Local media outlet in Australia, 7News reported that the man was critically injured in the fatal collision southwest of Sydney. It was also reported that despite paramedics' efforts they could not revive the Samoan man and that the driver had been taken in for testing.

The deceased has been identified as Lepou Michael Sua and by Wednesday afternoon condolence messages from his loved ones and friends flooded social media. He is survived by his wife Uaina and his sons, Benji, TJ and David.

Lepou's church family, the Sydney South-West Assembly of God church issued a statement following the tragedy.

"It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of a son of the house here at Sydney South West AOG, Lepou Michael Sua," the statement reads. "We mourn that you’re no longer here physically, but our hearts rejoice knowing that you’ve taken your seat up in the heavens in the presence of the most high.

"Lepou served so faithfully in the house here in Sydney South West AOG. We praise God for a servant filled with humility, grace and love. Everywhere Lepou walked or served- he did so with a smile. The ministry here at Sydney South West AOG thank you Lepou for giving to His ministry, for giving to God.

"We continue to stand in faith knowing that, that glorious morning will come that we will see you again. We send our deepest sympathies to the grieving family."

The Sydney South-West A.O.G. has also called on all its members to gather at the church's hall where they do choir practice for a memorial service for Lepou.

"The attendance of our whole Sydney South West AOG family is strongly encouraged. If there’s any time to pull together & to go before Him with one heart, in one accord- it’s now. Let us continue praying for sister Uaina, the kids, the grieving family & one another."

The late Lepou is remembered by his loved ones as a hardworking father and husband who loved his family and God with all that he had when he was alive.
