Salvation Army open new headquarters
After years of service and working out of their old establishment, Salvation Army (TSA) Samoa is moving into a new office compound located at Vaivase, directly opposite the back gate of the Vaivase Primary School.
Their office in Moto'otua had been their place of worship and also accommodated the community center. But their new location provides a more spacious compound for their Sunday church service and their rehabilitation programs.
The property was purchased last year and a special ceremony was held for the blessing of the property. The Salvation Army revealed its plans to continue to develop it further in order to improve and provide more rehabilitation services.
During the ceremony last year, they said that their biggest prayer request was a piece of land to call home. They said that plans to move into their new establishment would be around this year and to finally bring life to those words is a dream come true for the TSA.
Their new compound has four houses that will be renovated for their office, program space, and meeting rooms. The surrounding is very spacious with plans already being made for the construction of a church hall and the development of the regional headquarters office space.
Their faith and years of prayer have paid off. They will start moving into their new main office starting at the end of the month.
The Salvation Army is in 129 countries including Samoa. They came to Samoa in 2018 where they first started their social service program in helping the growing number of people struggling with drug and alcohol problems. They are partnered with the Samoa Drug and Alcohol Court to help people overcome alcohol abuse and addiction.
The message they share is Bible-based with some circular knowledge for their rehabilitation service. Their ministry is motivated by love for God with the mission to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in his name without discrimination.
