N.U.S. hosts Samoa Research Conference 2023
The National University of Samoa (N.U.S.) will host its 2nd Samoa Research Conference on Monday and Tuesday this week for research professionals from both local and overseas.
Delegates from Victoria University of Wellington and Otago University including selected N.U.S. staff will present their recent research findings, and share research ideas and best practices while networking with university colleagues and students.
The two-day conference will also allow all N.U.S. academic professionals and postgraduate students to learn about research across a range of disciplines and to observe various presentation styles. Simultaneously, it will encourage professional development in presenting and research supervision.
The conference program is designed to allow delegates to explore issues pertinent to their own area of work and engage with other professionals from different areas of expertise. Throughout the course of the two days, there will be 27 presentations in the morning and afternoon. The topics will include health, employment, offshore investments, assessments, education, culture, law and politics, science, environment, climate change, tourism, and open distance learning.
On Tuesday afternoon, there will be two practical sessions for professional development with coffee breaks and lunch to allow participants to greet and mingle.
All sessions for the two-day conference will be held in the N.U.S. D201 Lecture Theatre with a registration fee of SAT$50 per person (but SAT$30 per student), payable at the front door with their student ID cards. The one-time fee will cover both days of the Samoa Research Conference at the National University of Samoa.
