F.A.S.T. leads Vaimauga poll after preliminary count
It looks like the Faatuatua i Le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (F.A.S.T) Party is all set to increase their numbers in Parliament as their candidate Lautimuia Afoa Uesile Vaai leads after preliminary results for the Vaimauga No.3 by-elections were announced.
He leads the pack of trio by 417 votes according to the preliminary results revealed by the Office of the Electoral Commissioner (O.E.C).
The preliminary count results showed F.A.S.T. with 1425 votes, Human Rights Protection Party (H.R.P.P) with 1008 votes, and the Independent candidate with 100 votes.
If the preliminary results remains as is until the final count on Saturday, it indicates that Lautimuia will succeed the seat for the constituency boosting F.A.S.T's number of seats in Parliament to 32.
