New computer lab for Campus of Hope
The education of children at the Samoa Victim Support Group's Campus of Hope will get a major boost with the opening of a new computer lab scheduled for next week.
The opening of the new lab will mark a great start to 2023 for the children and will excite them ensuring they can look forward to the coming week.
The lab will be fully air conditioned which will be an extra treat for the children to learn in a cool and comfortable environment.
The Campus of Hope is home to almost 50 children including teenagers, who are victims of physical and sexual abuse and are unable to return home, due to pending court cases or because of their personal safety.
The S.V.S.G. President Siliniu Lina Chang, who are responsible for the care of the children, stated that the children will now be in a better learning environment following the computer lab's opening.
“This will also be the first time some of the children will feel air conditioning and it will be a great experience for them,” she said.
The computer lab will serve the educational needs of the children, helping them to learn about the latest education software as well as offer basic computer enhancing skills.
The lab will be fitted with some of the latest computers which has been made possible through the effort of their sponsors who provided funding for the project.
