Completing four years of seminary at Church College Pesega has been one of the most fulfilling and transformative experiences of my life.

As I reflect on this incredible journey, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude for the lessons I learned, the relationships I built, and the spiritual growth I experienced. This achievement is more than just a milestone; it represents a chapter of my life that has been marked by personal growth, a deeper understanding of faith, and an appreciation for diverse religious cultures.

One of the most unique aspects of my experience was that I attended seminary as a non-member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Coming from a different faith background, I initially wondered how I would fit in and what the experience would be like. However, from the very beginning, I was warmly welcomed by my peers and teachers. I quickly realized that this journey was not just about studying the scriptures or learning about church doctrines; it was an opportunity to immerse myself in a culture that was different from my own, to learn about the teachings of the church, and to explore the values that shape the lives of its members. This exposure broadened my understanding of faith and gave me new insights into the spiritual lives of others.

Participating in seminary as a non-member was truly a blessing. It gave me a chance to engage with and learn from the rich heritage, teachings, and traditions of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was able to witness firsthand the devotion and commitment that members have to their faith, which was both inspiring and humbling. Through this program, I gained a deeper appreciation for the ways in which different cultures and religious practices can enrich our own understanding of the world. It taught me the importance of respecting and valuing the beliefs of others, even when they differ from our own.

I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge my seminary teachers, who played an essential role in my journey. Their dedication, patience, and willingness to share their knowledge made a significant impact on me. They went beyond merely teaching the curriculum; they shared their personal experiences, testimonies, and deep love for the gospel, which helped me understand the core principles of the faith in a more meaningful way. Their guidance was a constant source of support, and I am forever grateful for the time and effort they invested in each of us. They helped me see the scriptures not just as religious texts but as sources of wisdom that could be applied to my everyday life.

I also want to extend my gratitude to the church community for accepting and embracing me throughout these four years. Despite our differences in faith, I always felt included and valued as part of the seminary family. This sense of belonging was a testament to the church’s commitment to love and inclusivity, reflecting the teachings of Jesus Christ. I have always been treated with kindness and respect, and for that, I am incredibly thankful.

Reflecting on this journey, I cannot forget the friends I made along the way. Together, we navigated the challenges of early morning classes, shared our thoughts during discussions, and supported one another through the ups and downs of our high school years. We bonded over shared experiences, whether it was memorizing scripture verses, participating in activities, or simply being there for each other in times of need. It was a journey we all took together, and we have come out stronger because of it.

Ultimately, our shared faith in Jesus Christ was the anchor that kept us grounded throughout this journey. Despite coming from different backgrounds and beliefs, we were united in our pursuit of understanding His teachings and applying them in our lives. I believe it was this shared commitment to learning and growing in faith that helped us overcome any obstacles we faced.

As I look back on my four years of seminary, I realize how much I have grown as a person. The program was not just about religious education; it was about building a foundation for a life guided by faith, love, and service. It was an opportunity for me to challenge my own beliefs, to learn from others, and to deepen my understanding of spirituality.

In conclusion, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have been part of the seminary program at Church College Brisbane. It has been a blessing that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my teachers, my friends, and the church community for their unwavering support and kindness. We made it through this journey together, and I believe it was our shared faith in Jesus Christ that carried us through. This experience has been a wonderful chapter in my life, and I am excited to see where my faith journey will take me next.
