Tufulele has gone with mostly natural alternatives to spruce up the village for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting and is ready to greet Cameroon with a bonjour.

The initiative they are currently working on was developed and funded by the women's committee, with assistance from the aumaga and the village chiefs.

Fa’amomoe Aiatele Aletasetatolai Luatuanu’u, 58, said Tufulele was ready to shine for CHOGM next month.

“Even though Samoa is a small country, the majority of its people are working hard to make the country beautiful. This is the spirit of working together to develop a Samoa matalasi, and we are very delighted to witness it” she said.

“It is also our responsibility to uphold our motto, "Fa'avae i le Atua Samoa," which means that God founded Samoa” she added.

She also brought up the women's committee project for the village pool.

“Additionally, we are grateful to our nation for hosting the CHOGM. It has inspired Samoa to improve and modernise the island to draw in visitors—not just for Tufulele but for the entire country.”

Everything they could afford, even the items in their homes was used to develop and complete their projects.

“We are honoured to be the hosts of the next CHOGM, particularly as we represent Cameroon in Central Africa at the convergence of the Gulf of Guinea,” she said.

“By looking at our project, you can see that we invested more than $15,000 in it, and the village chiefs helped make it happen.

“We fully support the CHOGM being held in Samoa since some of our village's residents, including the wife of our country's head of state, Afioga Masiofo Fa'amausili Leinafo Tuimaleali'ifano hail from here.”
