PAY RISE

The last civil service pay rise came through a budget announcement in 2024, and it had to be passed through parliament. There could be a change in policy that has not been disclosed yet, and that is why some posts are being advertised with a higher salary.

NEW CARS

New ministers are now showing their new cars. The cars look very nice and expensive. It is something elected leaders deserve for representing their people and ensuring their constituents get all the assistance promised by the government.

TRAITS

REMARKS

Did a senior elected leader comment about the disability of another during a public announcement? It was stated that some roles were taken from the latter to ease his load. Disability is not the inability to do the same work, especially if it includes reading reports and signing off on things.

FIGURES

Some people had to go back more than twice to make sure the amount announced by the government was correct. It was announced that “eight hundred and nine thousand, five hundred thousand tala” was given to a sport.

SCOOTERS

The electric scooter rides are not cheap. That is why some at the waterfront were surprised after witnessing some walking with it. Who knows, the batteries may have died?
