Maybe a bigger sign was needed to tell motorists that the Post Office Road was closed. Despite a sign being placed in the middle of the road, people kept driving in.

PARKING

People travelling to Savaii or picking people from the Mulifanua Wharf have now resorted to parking outside the gate to avoid paying the new parking fees. There is a long line of cars outside every day.

FUGALEI

Fugalei was flooded as well on Monday when the skies opened up. The thing about short-term solutions is that they work only for a short time. How do we fix this?

DEFAULTER

It will be a tough lesson for a guy who took a rental car and has not returned it. His name was plastered on social media by the car owners. Is this legal?

ROADS

New potholes are appearing everywhere. The rural roads are in a state of disrepair. In some areas whole portion of the roads had to be graded. Hopefully, work will take place soon.

FORECAST

The ADB predicts that in the Pacific, tourism will continue to boost growth, but at a slower pace. The subregion’s growth is forecast to moderate to 3.9 per cent in 2025 and 3.6 per cent in 2026.
