Traffic lights need to be installed at the Matautu junction where the traffic division of the police is located. The accident during heavy rain this week showed us just why.

STILL CLOSED

A newly opened health facility in the hills is still not in operation because of a serious staff shortage. There were promises from the government that they would provide staff.

BEER

The blue cans of beer are not being seen in shops anymore. The imported ones are being phased out. The local manufacturing plant is believed to be opening next week. Taste of Samoa is back.

CHARGES

A political figure’s shameful overseas dilly-dallying looks to be side-steps to avoid impending charges. The grapevine says it will be sooner than later.

MANGOES

Be careful buying mangoes as the fruit is in season. Some sellers are ripping customers off by knocking off unripe ones for ripe fruits. Check first.

CELEBRATE

It was fortunate that some government departments held celebrations on Friday. Some are saying some offices do not have the budget to throw an end-of-the-year party.
