Between the Lines
WORTH IT
A substantial amount of money has been spent preparing the opening event for the CHOGM. Hopefully, the show is worth the money and everyone gets paid not just some people.
KISSES
There were some very eager women at the events visited by the British monarch. Some trying their best to steal a kiss. Surely, the king now knows how strong Samoan women can be.
FLOODING
It has happened again. Torrential rain has exposed blocked drains as roads were flooded again near the town area, especially in Fugalei. This is not a fine example of planned infrastructure.
FIRST HARVEST
Heavy rain has marred the first harvest display at various venues. Kudos to the farmers who brought their produce. Do not expect delegates to buy the produce, their meals are provided for.
RAINCOATS
Raincoats need to be provided for the police officers who are on duty and braving the adverse weather conditions. Most were seen getting drenched by the rain as they did their duty.
PALOLO RISING
There will be many people heading to the reefs to harvest palolo. If the weather is not good please do not head out to the reefs and if you not a swimmer, please stay on land.
