The Marist Rugby League 9s was again a huge success, despite the weather.

The tournament saw guest referees from New Zealand officiating the key matches. Twelve teams took part.

Apia Baracuddas won the Championships overcoming defending Champions Marist Saints in a tight final contest 12-4.

Matniuel Lions team from Lauli’i came third after defeating Faleula Scorpions, 12-0, at fulltime.

Gataivai Cowboys claimed fifth prize with Letava Bulldogs at 6th place, while Falelauniu Titans in 7th and Vaitele West Tigers in 8th place.

The Most Valuable Player of the tournament went to Raymond Salu of Marist Saints as well as Mari Ionatana of the Apia Baracuddas.

Gataivai Cowboys and Lefaga Warriors were awarded the most improved teams of the tournament.
