As a tradition, one of the main highlights for any Bodybuilding Event has always been the “Guest Poser”.

The “Guest Poser” is always a prominent figure in the Sport who is either competing/current International Champ or former Champ with medals under their belt.

Last year, the Bodybuilding Federation of Samoa (BBFS) brought in Johnny Afoa, a son of Samoa currently competing at the World stage under the International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) and is proudly representing Samoa in Australia and Spain competitions.

This year, the BBFS have invited one of its own and former 3 times Mr. Samoa, Karl Tui Adam to come back once again on the Mr Samoa Bodybuilding stage. One of the pioneers of Bodybuilding in Samoa, Tui has definitely left a legacy for our young athletes to follow.

Something we will surely look forward to as Tui last competed here in 2009 which was also the last time he was on stage. It will be interesting to see him back on that stage on Nov 24th at Gym 1.

Profile:

Tui Karl Adam

Born: Apia, June 1980

Parents: Mother Lena Asiata from Sapapalii, Savaii, Father Karl Adam is from Lalomanu

Started lifting weights at his older brothers garage gym at 16years using car parts, and a few dumbbells. He then started going to the gym a few years later and competed in his first Mr Samoa at Junior division in 1998. From this competition, he also met his longtime training partner and Bodybuilding friend Tohill Rokeni, who went on to win Mr Samoa in 2002.

He decided to take a break for a few years so he can concentrate on his University studies and upon his return in 2008, he finally won his first Mr Samoa title. This win saw him looking further to conquering the Pacific by winning gold at the Pacific Bodybuilding Championship in 2009 in Tahiti. He then went on to qualify for the World Champs in Dubai which he took it as a blessing for his hard work and pure determination. While he credited Bodybuilding for all these amazing achievements, his greatest achievement however came when he decided to start a family of his own.

A major accomplishment being a father of 2 amazing kids and raising them to a new generation of healthy and strong Samoan children with a strict diet of vegetables, no fast food, no fizzy drinks, all organic and natural foods.

As a Fitness Coach and Trainer, he is working with our Pacific Community raising awareness in Healthy lifestyle through exercises and choosing good natural foods, and fighting obesity within our Samoan community.

You can find him on Social media @tamafitx or you can visit his website www.tamafit.com
